Come as you are.
Leave a little braver.

Concord Yaralla Toastmasters is a small, warm club that meets three Monday evenings a month by the river at Rhodes. We practise speaking up, thinking on our feet, and backing each other — no matter how new or nervous you are.

Tonight's shape

Every meeting runs on the same warm rhythm

We time everything — the same way we time a speech: green for settling in, amber for the heart of the night, red as we wrap up. Here's the shape of a typical evening.

6:50pm

Arrive & settle in

Tea, chat, and a seat — no pressure to do anything but say hello.

7:10pm

Welcome & prepared speeches

Three members deliver speeches they've prepared, each one evaluated with care.

~8:15pm

Tea break

A short breather before the second half begins.

~8:25pm

Table Topics

Impromptu speaking — anyone in the room, guests included, can be called up (only if you want to).

9:20–9:30pm

Awards & wrap

Reports, a couple of fun awards, and we're done for the night.

Who's in the room

Real people, real reasons

Our members come from marketing, real estate, education, and public service — plus students, retirees, and a few people simply polishing a wedding speech. Some are practising English as a second language. Some just want better meetings at work. Everyone started exactly where you are now.

  • Confidence on stage
  • Better listening
  • Leadership & chairing meetings
  • Thinking on your feet
  • Constructive feedback
  • A genuinely social bunch
